Scientific Research. Research areas: mathematical simulation of wave processes in superimposed liquid; mathematics, informatics, physics and their methods of teaching in the setting of contextual competency building approach; representation theory of groups and spectrum analysis of differential operators; qualitative theory of differential and finite-difference equations; roentgen and natural approaches of substance analyses; history and methodology of natural science. The Faculty of Information Technologies and Mathematics has organized two scientific schools focusing on Mathematics and its methods of teaching in the setting of contextual competency building approach (scientific tutor is Abramov A. V., Doctor of Pedagogical Science, Professor) as well as on Informatics and its methods of teaching in the setting of specialized education (scientific tutor is Kaziachmedov T. B., Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor).
Cooperation. There is a treaty concluded with Karaganda University “Bolashak”. The main lines of cooperation focus on educational activity and scientific research (development and promotion of academic and research project, further training of postgraduates and aspirants, joint organization and realization of academic and research conferences and seminars, realization of research and analytic works, organization of students research competitions, documents preparation for receiving grants on realization of joint ventures, culture and outreach activity, educative activity, information and publishing activity).
